Lexica

A language education platform for the LGBTQ+ community

Language learners want to feel like a part of the lives and culture of language speakers

But, LGBTQ+ topics and identities are missing from language education

The affirming and inclusive language that LGBTQ+ folks and allies use every day is central to feeling like a member of the community, but it is also missing from standard language education.

When learning a new language, there are no resources that teach queer and allied language learners the vocabulary they can use to express themselves, advocate for themselves, or support those who they care for.

Lexica is a platform where LGBTQ+ and allied language learners can explore content made by the community and its allies and find new ways to express themselves authentically in a language they love.

Our Principles

Authenticity

Learn from content made by LGBTQ+ and allied creators so you can express yourself authentically

Inclusion

Educators support LGBTQ+ and allied creators through Lexica’s Educator Support program

Control

The community isn’t raw data to be scraped—creators control how their content is used to teach
